Full Moon in Cancer ~ Tarot Spread

Hello my dear,

I hope you are safe, healthy, and content. My heart is breaking from the news coming out of California today and I grieve with all affected. Here is a link to donate to mutual aid and please consider donating if you have capacity. I am thinking about the connectedness of all beings on earth and how we need climate justice now more than ever.

As I hold this news, our home is bustling with the energy of packing and preparation for a trip to one of the places I hold most dear—Uruguay. I will be spending most of the month here with family, catching up with friends  & relatives, and am grateful I can continue my studies abroad. This visit is especially meaningful because it’s my family’s first time returning since we moved back. This is the place where I honed in on my creative voice, forged deep and lasting connections with incredible souls, and where my journey into motherhood began when I became pregnant with my sweet & sassy Isadora.

With all the movement and transitions happening this month, I won’t be hosting a full moon circle. Instead, I’ve poured my energy into creating something for you—a tarot spread inspired by the nurturing energy of Cancer and its tarot counterpart, the Chariot.

The full moon is a sacred time for harvesting the seeds we’ve planted, the goals & intentions we’ve set. It’s an opportunity to really check in with ourselves and celebrate how far we’ve come. When I host full moon gatherings, I make space for witnessing each other in our truth, whatever that might look like. Sometimes the full moon highlights feelings of anger, regret, or grief.. Emotions that we’ve been hiding. Sometimes, the full moon calls for excitement and high energy! There is no right or wrong way to experience moon magic. I see it merely as a time for checking in, reflection, and pause in our lives that often feels more fast paced than we’d like it to be.

This month’s full moon on Jan. 13th, 2025, we are entering into the energy of Cancer, a water sign, and it’s corresponding card, The Chariot. With these energies, we are tasked with checking in on our hearts, emotions, and how they have driven our actions moving forward.

First, spend time with the Chariot card from your deck. How does it make you feel? What is the artwork telling you?  Place on the surface before you as a guide for the rest of the reading.

Card 1. I feel nurtured when…

Card 2. I have nurtured others by…

Card 3.  One way that I am ready to integrate more care into my life

I hope this spread offers clarity and love on your path.

With love,

lexa
